National Network
Many pharmacy providers will bend over backwards to make customers happy while other providers take the business for granted. Our belief is that as a facility, you should be able to pick the provider that values you as a customer and presents the right options for you. The reality is that the drug is the drug and will be the same no matter what pharmacy provider delivers it. The packaging can be standardized. The days supply can be 7, 14, or 30 days depending upon what cycle your facility prefers. Each provider should be able to interface with your EHR system, if they are serious about LTC. Stat medications can be delivered within 4-hours for emergency purposes & each offer technology where it is allowed to make your job easier.
Our network members do not overcharge for OTC or uncovered medications. Our pharmacy members do prior authorization services to ensure your residents don't get stuck with pharmacy bills that they can't afford. All of our members do Part D analysis to make sure that the appropriate plan is in place each year after the formularies change. Each member offers per diem pricing for nursing homes, so that costs can be contained each year.
VRX also offers a nurse or pharmacy tech that can be in your building in 5-minutes or less to address service related issues via Zoom/Uber. We will review the issues, then call the pharmacy directly to address your concerns and write up an action plan.
